Another project in the Christmann portfolio is the development of Schlüterstrasse 54. This residential and commercial building built at the beginning of the 20th century shall be developed as a model project for energy conservation, …

… wherein a high energy efficiency standard will be reached. The low energy concept includes insulation of the entire shell of the building with a modern and environmentally conscious wall insulation as well as the installation of  new triple glazed windows. The aim is not only to save heating energy during the winter but also provide cool temperatures during the summer. A controlled air ventilation will create an exchange of air and energy supply will be supplemented by roof solar panels.
